Large Ceramic Toadstool Box

Description

Handmade ceramic toadstool boxes. These are suitable for trinkets, rings, keys etc. Made in a speckled stoneware clay that gives vibrancy to the glaze these boxes have a lift off lid with an etched design to indicate the gills. These hand thrown items are all subtly unique so variations naturally occur. The base is glazed inside and out with white glaze leaving the rim bare to prevent the pieces sticking together in the firing process. The caps are glazed in bright red with the familiar white spots. The height is approximately 8 cm and the diameter of the lids at the widest point is approximately 10.5 cm. The top of the base is approximately 5.5 cm in diameter.
